In the world today creativity and self expression seems to be looked at as strange or odd. It seems that society today wants us to fit into its norms and not be who we truly are. This drawing represent just that. It shows how in todays world be are prisoners to what society wants us to be instead of letting our creativity and voices be heard. These boundaries or "ropes" that society puts on us are squeezing us until we give into them or better yet die and loose who we are all together. I drew this picture to show how each and everyone of use go through this challenge of deciding rather or not we are going to be what people (society) wants us to be or if we break from the norms and be what we want to be. When it comes to these pieces of work I want viewers to almost feel a sense of calmness and joy. the pictures that are drawn represent the life cycle of my dog Levi. By examining the pictures, you see settle changes in his features and almost the same emotion in each one. What makes these pieces of work special is that they represent this reality of life and death. This meaning that we all are born and change over time, but we all face the reality of changing till we grow old and just die. As cute as the pictures are of Levi, he to will one day change until death takes him. We as individuals need to learn that  time is off the essence and that everyday we are changing, growing older until hour time runs out. We need to learn to enjoy life and take a moment to actually understand what is happening around us. We almost need to enjoy life as a dog does. This coming from a place of no worries, laying back and enjoying the small things like a good belly rub.
